E-Detective System - It is an appliance based system for collecting or capturing LAN Internet traffic through a port-mirroring switch or a HUB. The raw data collected will be decoded and reconstructed by the system and the output or results will be the exact Internet content as seen by the users. The reconstructed data is stored in the database and it can be accessible by the GUI interface (which display results of the Internet content including Email (POP3, SMTP, IMAP, Webmail), IM/Chat (Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, AOL, QQ, UT Chat Room, Skype VOIP Log), HTTP (Link, Content, Reconstruct, Upload/Download), FTP, P2P, Online Game, Telnet etc.). Management capability such as alert, search etc. are available. Statistical reporting showing total throughput value (with Top-Down view approach) is also available.
